Rev. Kevin Steeper
Kevin began his ministry with us on Sunday, April 1, 2025 and has served as a minister for 30 years. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church of Canada and came into the United Church 10 years ago. Kevin has served in rural multi-point charges in both Ontario and Nova Scotia as well as communities of faith in London and Goderich Ontario. Most recently, he served as the Minister for Pastoral Support for almost 8 years at both the Presbytery and Regional levels of the United Church. Kevin also has experience as a military chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces. Kevin recently completed his Masters Degree in Psychospiritual Studies.
Kevin is married to the Rev. Kate Ballagh-Steeper. They have 2 daughters, Martha and Maggie. Martha lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia with her finance, Kevin, and is employed as a social worker. Maggie lives near Rocklyn, Ontario with her husband Derrick where they farm with Derrick’s family. Maggie is also a school teacher in Dundalk. Finally, Kevin’s interests include Scottish Gaelic language and culture, Anglo- Scottish border history and NFL football.

Cassie - Office Administrator
Cassie (She/Her) is the office coordinator at Barrie Hill Church. She loves working in the office, connecting and helping everyone that comes through the doors in person and virtually. Cassie was born and raised in the Barrie Hill congregation and lives on a small horse farm with her husband, daughter and two sons. She feels blessed to be involved in the church community she grew up in.
