UCW's Mission
UCWs mission is to love God; foster Christian commitment, faithfulness and spirituality; and promote respect and love for all God’s creatures.
The UCW is an active, community-minded group of 20 women who meet together monthly (Sunday mornings) to share in fellowship, worship, music and fun. Local guest speakers have enlightened us with their commitments to, for example, Guide Dogs, the local Food Bank, Music Therapy as well as women speakers in various professions (Emergency Services, transportation, firefighting, mental health).
We fundraise and donate annually to groups such as Michael House (for young mothers and infants), the Centre-Wellington Food Bank, Kids’ Help Phone, Waterloo-Wellington Canadian Mental Health Association, Red Cross Emergency Fund, National Guide Dogs, Plan Care sponsorship, and the United Church Mission and Service Fund.
